Qsync For Mac10/19/2021

QSync is a Qt-based frontend to the rsync file transfer utility, with an emphasis on initial ease-of-use, but also with the ability to be just as powerful as rsync itself.Each of these PCs is selectively syncing folders with the Qnap but when these deletions occur, no computer is without blame from the Qsync event log. Computers not selectively syncing are executing the deletions at the Qnap. In total, these deletions have happened 8 times now in the last 2 months with 4 of them being computers not even selectively synchronizing the folder being deleted.
Nearly all of the files are JPGs, maybe a handful of other files. Sharing & Permissions says "You have custom access" (which is the same on files that work. The issue seems to be just on the Mac end (a couple of MacBook Pros and a handful of iMacs, actually), and not on the QNAP side.but it's happening to all of them at once, so it's hard to tellAny suggestions for troubleshooting/fixing? Right now they're functioning alright with the File Station web GUI, but it'd be nice to have Finder mount properly again!So what happens when a Mac user tries to open the file, is there an error or dialogueHave you created a new test share to see if the issue prevails in that?That's what happens. I tried making a new account on the QNAP and logging in as that from Finder, but that didn't work either. If I log in as the admin from the iMac, I believe they also have access (can't remember absolutely though, but can check again tomorrow). The current status (I'm not sure if it's changed since my troubleshooting or if it was always like this) is that they can open any file created before a certain point, but not any of the new filesIf I log into the QNAP web interface with this user, they have R/W access to all the files they need. Mac app cleaner bestIt even worked to use the now-viewable files from the new share to replace the non-viewable files from the old share.but that solution isn't exactly viable since there's not any particular set of files that work (short of doing the root of this whole share, which may not be doable because of space)It wouldn't let me copy the non-working files to the new share under the non-working account, so I had to switch to admin. It even worked to drag some of the non-working files over to the new share. I tried making a new shared folder, and it worked fine but that doesn't surprise me. New accounts experience the same issue. From what I can tell, it's only files from that won't load, and only that dateGranting admin privileges to the user doesn't help (but don't forget, the same user has all the access they need from the QNAP web interface, so it really doesn't seem like that matters). More files are available, but not all of them. Qsync Full Rights AndSetup unique usernames for each person/station accessing the files. Make sure that the share has OPLocks Enabled. This is only for SMB and ActiveDirectory.Could be part of the problem, I think both are enabledSetup a user with full rights and test it out. It's like the permissions are "Write only".does that make sense? Probably notEven if I can identify all of the folders, copy them, and handle all of that.if I can figure out why this happened and do more of a solution than a workaround, it'd be great!Dont enable advanced permissions.
